Carpet tile is a modular carpet product, usually produced in Europe in standard sizes of 50x50cm and 25x100cm. These carpets are preferred as a floor product with a thick base and a curled texture, offering ease of installation, removal and reinstallation. They are lightweight, easy to transport and can be installed quickly. They also prevent waste thanks to their size. They are particularly popular in warm and quiet office environments.

While the upper side of the carpet tile consists of yarn, the lower part is stabilizing and insulating. In this way, it is fixed to the floor using an adhesive glue, so repairs and parts can be easily replaced. Carpet tiles are usually produced in 5-15mm thickness and are designed for high traffic areas.

Here are some reasons why you might prefer carpet tiles:

  • Acoustic and Sound Insulation: Carpet tiles provide both acoustic and sound insulation. In addition to reducing the reverberation of sound in the environment, it also provides insulation of sounds that can spread to the upper and lower floors.
  • Flame Retardancy: Depending on the type of yarn, carpet tiles generally comply with fire safety standards and prevent fire splashes.
  • Anti-Static: Carpet tiles can prevent static electricity from passing through the body and transfer electrical currents generated by power tools in office environments to the floor.
  • Cleanliness and Health: Since they are made of synthetic yarns, they do not allow living creatures such as bacteria and dust mites to live. They can be wet or dry cleaned and improve indoor air quality by trapping dust and particles.
